The class aromatics of plum, cardamom spice, fennel seed, lilacs and vanilla. On the palate, black currants with a chalky yet balanced tannin profile, and dried cherries. The mid palate needs time to evolve in the glass or decanter, but it will be worth the wait!
Vineyard Notes: The parent grape to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc often expresses the same denseness and richness of its offspring yet has a complexity that is all its own. We source our Cabernet Franc grapes from the small corner block fronting both Pickett Road and Rosedale Road in Calistoga from vines that are over 35 years old.
