Valdicava's Rosso di Montalcino, a Sangiovese that reminds us not all Rossos are created equal. You may have heard the terms "baby Brunello" or "Brunello's little brother" but these do not do this wine justice. This Rosso bests many Brunellos in any vintage, a truly exceptional wine.While your Brunello is cellaring you need to have something to drink and this classic rosso is made in the traditional way and is ready for the dinner table tonight. Rich, offering cherry, raspberry, earth and a hint of wild herbs. Reveals a dusting of powdery tannins and lively acidity, which add support as this plays out on the firm finish.
