Joe Nuphut's Internship

Written by Joe Nuphut's

My time at Passion Vines Wines & Spirit Co. has instilled many important business and marketing skills that I previously did not have before. My supervisor/ Community Manager, Paul Venesz as well as our new Head of Sales & Marketing, Roman Mann set up an assortment of different experiential learning tasks as part of their educational plan for me in their web team. Many of those tasks integrated things that I learned from my previous courses directly into my practical work experience. I can say after this experience that their experiential learning tasks prepared and helped me to better understand how items are marketed and sold online.

Over time after becoming more comfortable with the tasks that were asked of me, I was able to contribute more and really felt like I developed a role on this web team. All my contributions helped increase my sense of responsibility not only in the workspace but in my everyday life as well. After taking this internship, I’ve never felt more prepared to enter the business world!

When I first walked through the doors, I was not sure what to expect but four months later I feel I have fulfilled all my goals and learning objectives. I honestly learned more than I thought I ever would have and feel I did my part to help contribute and bring our web department to another level. I would recommend this internship to other business majors especially those who are looking to be in the marketing field. Their web team is an absolute pleasure to work with. Their online marketing internship WILL better prepare you to move forward especially with all the technological advancements that continue to happen in today world.
